Foundry Cranes

Foundry cranes are bridge cranes specifically designed for harsh environments with high temperatures and high dust levels, such as metallurgy and foundry. Their core function is the lifting and transporting of hazardous materials and supplies, such as molten steel and steel billets. They possess excellent high-temperature adaptability, extremely high safety, and precise control performance, making them suitable for special working conditions in steel smelting and foundry workshops. Available in various types to meet the lifting needs of different process flows, they are an indispensable core heavy-duty lifting equipment in the metallurgical and foundry industries.

Product Description

01

Overall Positioning

Foundry cranes are specialized bridge cranes, specifically designed for metallurgical and foundry scenarios. They are primarily suited for extreme working environments with high temperatures and high dust levels. Their core function is the lifting and transporting of hazardous materials (molten steel ladles, molten iron ladles) and supplies (steel billets). They operate at a working level of A7 heavy-duty continuous duty, ensuring the safe and efficient progress of smelting and foundry processes.

02

Structure and Classification

Primarily divided into two structures: double-beam bridge and four-beam bridge. Based on trolley configuration, it can be divided into single-trolley and main/auxiliary-trolley types. Different types can precisely adapt to different scenarios and process requirements. The overall structure has been specially optimized for long-term stable operation in extreme environments.

03

Core Performance

Possesses superior high-temperature adaptability, capable of stable operation in environments ranging from 80℃ to 200℃. High control precision, employing variable frequency speed control technology, achieving a positioning accuracy of ±5mm, meeting the stringent requirements of casting processes for stable lifting. Equipped with multiple safety protection devices to ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.

04

Extreme Environment Adaptation Design

Key components undergo special protective treatment. The main beam and trolley frame are fitted with heat insulation layers, and the driver's cab and electrical room feature a fully insulated structure. Transmission components use high-temperature resistant grease and are equipped with a forced air cooling system. Core components are made of high-temperature resistant materials to resist high temperatures and high dust corrosion.

05

Applicable Scenarios and Uses

Primarily used in two core scenarios: steel smelting and foundry workshops. It can be used in conjunction with continuous casting machines to handle key processes such as molten steel hoisting, billet handling, and molten iron/molten steel mixing. Two dedicated models are available based on the process flow: one for molten iron mixing and one for molten steel mixing.

Product Feature

Excellent High-Temperature Adaptability

Capable of continuous operation in high-temperature environments ranging from 80℃ to 200℃. Key components such as the motor and wire rope are made of high-temperature resistant materials, effectively resisting high-temperature corrosion and ensuring long-term stable operation, suitable for the high-temperature conditions of metallurgical casting.

Extremely High Safety

Equipped with a dual braking system, overload limiter, and anti-sway device for triple safety protection. For scenarios involving the hoisting of dangerous materials such as molten steel ladles, it prevents safety hazards from three dimensions: braking, load, and hoisting posture, eliminating accidents such as heavy object falling, swaying, and overloading.

Precise Control and Excellent Stability

Utilizing variable frequency speed control technology, the machine operates smoothly without jamming, achieving a positioning accuracy of ±5mm. This precisely meets the stringent requirements for stability and positioning accuracy in casting processes such as molten steel pouring and billet handling, preventing safety accidents and process deviations caused by shaking.

Strong Adaptability to Extreme Environments

Key structures are specially protected. The main beam and trolley frame are equipped with heat insulation layers, and the driver's cab and electrical room are fully insulated, effectively isolating them from high temperatures. Transmission components use high-temperature resistant grease and are equipped with a forced air cooling system to prevent damage from high temperatures, making it suitable for extreme environments with high dust and high temperatures.

Clear Classification and Wide Adaptability

Available in various types, including double-beam bridge type, four-beam bridge type, single trolley type, and main/auxiliary trolley type, the appropriate model can be selected based on the smelting and casting process flow, site size, and lifting requirements, adapting to the personalized needs of different scenarios.

Wheel Assembly Materials

Main Materials

1. Main Beam and Cable Tray Material: High-strength, high-temperature resistant, low-alloy structural steel is used, primarily Q355D or Q460 high-strength steel, with some key components using high-temperature resistant alloy steel. This provides excellent bending, torsional, and fatigue resistance, while also exhibiting high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for high-temperature and high-dust environments.

2. Core Component Material: Key components such as the motor and wire rope use high-temperature resistant special materials. The motor is a high-temperature resistant asynchronous motor with a high-temperature resistant protective shell. The wire rope uses high-temperature resistant and wear-resistant alloy steel rope, capable of resisting high-temperature corrosion and long-term lifting wear.

3. Protective and Insulation Materials: The main beam and trolley frame are equipped with a high-temperature resistant insulation layer using ceramic fiber or high-temperature resistant insulation cotton, providing excellent insulation performance. The driver's cab and electrical room feature a fully insulated structure with a high-temperature resistant and dustproof shell, and are equipped with internal insulation and ventilation devices.

4. Transmission and Lubrication Materials: High-temperature resistant grease is used in transmission components such as motors and reducers, providing excellent high-temperature stability and preventing lubrication failure at high temperatures. Bearings are high-temperature resistant, heavy-duty specialized bearings, and gears are made of high-strength, wear-resistant alloy steel, strengthened through heat treatment to extend their service life.

5. Electrical and Protection Materials: Electrical components are selected for their high temperature resistance and high protection rating (IP54 and above). The housing is made of waterproof, dustproof, and high-temperature resistant materials to ensure stable operation of the electrical system in high-temperature and high-dust environments. The equipment surface is treated with a high-temperature resistant anti-corrosion coating to resist high-temperature oxidation and dust corrosion.
