Grab Bucket
Grab buckets are core lifting tools used with cranes, specifically designed for the excavation, loading, unloading, and stacking of bulk materials. They are compatible with cranes and widely used in mines, ports, docks, grain depots, freight yards, and other scenarios. Their structural design is tailored to the needs of bulk material handling, offering convenient operation and strong adaptability. They can efficiently complete various bulk material handling processes, making them an indispensable auxiliary equipment for cranes in handling bulk materials.
Product Description
Overall Positioning
Grab buckets are specialized lifting tools for cranes, working in conjunction with various types of cranes. Their core function is handling bulk materials. Without additional manual assistance in securing the materials, they can directly complete the entire process of excavation, loading, unloading, and stacking, significantly improving the efficiency of bulk material handling.
Core Applications
Grab buckets primarily have three core applications: excavation, loading/unloading, and stacking. The excavation function is suitable for open-pit mines for excavating industrial raw materials such as stone and coal; the loading and unloading function is suitable for docks, warehouses, and other locations for loading and unloading various bulk materials; the stacking function is suitable for grain depots, freight yards, and other locations for the standardized stacking of bulk materials.
Applicable Scenarios
Widely used in open-pit mines such as coal mines, iron mines, and copper mines, as well as docks, ports, warehouses, grain depots, freight yards, construction sites, and other locations. It can handle various bulk materials such as coal, sand, cement, ore, grain, and soil, adapting to the bulk material handling needs of different industries.
Working Principle
The crane's lifting mechanism drives the grab bucket to open and close, using the grab bucket's claws to grab and hold bulk materials. Then, the crane's movement function transfers the materials to the designated location, completing the excavation, loading, unloading, or stacking operations in a smooth and efficient manner.
Compatibility
Compatible with various types of cranes, including bridge cranes, gantry cranes, and tower cranes. Different specifications and types of grab buckets can be selected based on material type and operating scenario, offering excellent adaptability.
Product Feature
Highly Targeted Functions and Focused Core Applications
Focuses on the three core operations of excavating, loading, unloading, and stacking bulk materials. No manual assistance is required to bind materials; it can directly grab and operate, precisely solving the problem of low efficiency in bulk material handling.
Wide Range of Applications and Strong Material Compatibility
Adaptable to various scenarios such as open-pit mines, docks, grain depots, and freight yards. It can handle various bulk materials such as coal, ore, grain, soil, and sand, efficiently adapting to both industrial raw materials and civilian bulk goods.
High Operating Efficiency and Reduced Labor Costs
No manual material binding or sorting is required. Material grabbing and transfer are quickly completed through the opening and closing of the grab bucket, significantly shortening the single operation cycle time, reducing labor input, and lowering the intensity of manual labor.
Standardized Stacking, Improved Operational Quality
Possesses excellent stacking capacity, enabling standardized temporary stacking of bulk materials. This ensures neat and orderly stacking, preventing material scattering, maintaining a clean working environment, and improving the efficiency and quality of subsequent operations.
Robust Structure, Suitable for Heavy-Duty Operations
Designed specifically for handling bulk materials, the claws and main structure boast high strength, capable of withstanding the impact and load of bulk materials. Suitable for heavy-duty, high-intensity operation scenarios such as mines and ports, it offers a long service life.
Wheel Assembly Materials
Main Material Composition
1. Grab Bucket Main Body Material: Constructed with high-strength structural steel, primarily Q355B or Q355D low-alloy high-strength steel. For some heavy-duty and wear-resistant applications, Q460 high-strength steel is used. It possesses excellent bending, torsional, and impact resistance, capable of withstanding the impact of handling bulk materials and long-term loads.
2. Claw Material: Made of high-strength wear-resistant alloy steel, quenched and tempered, with wear-resistant liners that can be added to the surface, significantly improving the claw's wear resistance and protecting it from the wear of hard materials such as coal and ore, thus extending its service life.
3. Connecting Component Material: The lifting lugs, pins, and other components connecting the grab bucket to the crane are made of 42CrMo alloy forgings, heat-treated for enhanced strength, possessing excellent tensile and shear resistance, ensuring a secure connection with the crane and preventing detachment during operation.
4. Opening and Closing Mechanism Material: The gears, chains, and other components of the opening and closing mechanism are made of high-strength wear-resistant alloy steel. The gears undergo precision machining and heat treatment, possessing excellent transmission performance and wear resistance; heavy-duty special bearings are used to ensure flexible and smooth opening and closing movements.
5. Protective Material: The surface is treated with shot blasting + epoxy zinc-rich primer + polyurethane topcoat, providing excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and rust prevention, suitable for harsh operating environments such as open-air, humid, and dusty conditions, extending the grab bucket's service life.
